In most of my research, I focus on the study of surfaces of general type, which has been the central topic of my PhD thesis. Specifically, I construct surfaces such as abelian coverings or product-quotient surfaces to obtain new relevant examples for still-open questions in Algebraic Geometry. In particular, I have also been investigating various open questions related to the canonical map of surfaces of general type, by examining the canonical map of abelian coverings and product-quotient surfaces.
Additionally, I seek to classify such surfaces for small values of certain invariants, such as the Euler characteristic and the self-intersection of a canonical divisor.
Recently, I am studying the geometry of moduli spaces of coherent sheaves on smooth algebriac surfaces, with a particular focus to those that are product of curves.
